Annotation
This screen print portrays a fantastical scene in which a monstrous creature, adorned with a green triangular emblem resembling Swiss cheese, stretches out its clawed arms against a backdrop of blue-black skin. It is besieged by rats donning green caps, engaged in a fierce assault, with some wielding stabbing weapons and others attempting to bind the creature's neck. With humor, the artwork draws inspiration from Mesoamerican artistic motifs and symbols, combining elements of myth and imagination with a nod to ancient cultural aesthetics. (Author: Juan Sarmiento)
