Annotation
This print contains red high heels, various peppers, and a fork on a bright yellow background. Vibrant purple shadows contrast with the yellow background.
Since experimenting with monoprints, Garcia wanted the print to appear as a painting. She combined two techniques: using a paintbrush on the serigraph and using sandpaper and pastel on the image between the acetate. This resulted in the pencil, chalky, and paintbrush quality in the piece. (Author: Lyra Alonso)
